Passing the time

Lots of time in between.  Time spent outside.  But some drawings made... and past ones found.
Here they be... 24x36 sized. chalk. Investigations of Journey and the passage of time.

Page by page... working on the story

So... the story is basically there in my head... it's just storyboarding out the main events that carry the story along. Most of the time I can see the story play out like an animated movie when I close my eyes... so I try and freeze certain key moments... and those become the ones I draw.

Then there are the words.
Those take longer for some reason.  :-D

Maybe I'll get Ava to help out when I get further along as it is her character I am drawing!

In the meanwhile, it's back to the sketchbook when I get a free moment to help SuperGirlShiny help the Angry Dog!

3 SuperGirlShiny and the Angry Dog book sketches

SuperGirlShiny was created by Ava Lejeune and her mom as a halloween costume.  The character of SuperGirlShiny had a rich storyline and had some awesome powers... the power of Shiny!
With her radiant cape, SuperGirlShiny could dazzle her enemies and the bad people around her and make them good again.

From that beginning, Ava's papa (otto) started this kid's book idea... SuperGirlShiny and the Angry Dog.
Here are some of the starting sketches for that book.

Let us know what you think!

Ava would love the world to know about SuperGirlShiny!
